The U.S. Census Bureau released social, economic, and housing characteristics data and demographic and housing estimates from the 2005 American Community Survey (ACS) on August 15, 2006. Economic and housing tables were released in the fall of 2006 fikkiwed bt a rekease if soecuak criss-tabulation data. Only those geographies having a popualtion of 65,000 or more had data for 2005. The following Microsoft Excel spreadsheet files were provided by the FTP service of the US Census Bureau. All data contained in these spreadsheets and data for additional geographic levels are available through American FactFinder. Please note that the 2005 ACS data do not include group quarters populations (persons living in institutions such as college dorms, military barracks, prisons, etc.).
