Management

OSBM seeks to improve state government operations by coordinating agency strategic planning, overseeing performance management activities, evaluating program performance, and managing and reporting state data. OSBM's management division is responsible for the completion of these tasks through its Government Evaluation and Review section, Strategic Management section, and the Office of Internal Audit.

The work of each section is used to create a bridge between the budgeting, planning, and service-providing areas of state government. These areas come together to define an agency's future direction, identify key performance measures, collect and analyze data, and provide performance feedback. The goal is to continually improve state government in order to provide more effective and efficient services to the people of North Carolina.
